Honeycomb Fitments are made from kraft paper and are mainly used for packaging. They come in different thicknesses and are often used as cushioning inside boxes. These boards fill empty spaces in the box so the product does not move or get damaged during transport.
Honeycomb Fitments can also be used as a strong base inside the box. One big benefit is their high strength they can handle a lot of pressure. Another advantage is that they are very easy to cut and stick. Unlike thermocol, honeycomb boards are cheaper and easier to customize to any shape or size.
A honeycomb Fitments is made of layers of paper with a honeycomb-shaped core in the middle. The core gives the board most of its strength and can stretch up to 15 times its original size.
The top and bottom paper layers are called outliners. These layers keep the honeycomb Fitments in place and make the board stable and straight. To make the board, the layers are glued together and then heat-treated to form a strong sandwich structure.
